We will soon be planting the Temple Garden. Anyone interested in working in the garden can talk to me or Wendy. I can be reached at 228-8668 or mikepainter123@yahoo.com. We need help in building beds, clearing land, planting, watering, weeding and harvesting. I plan to use a lot of mulch this year, so hopefully there will not be much weeding. You can come out once or twice or as often as you like. You can set your own hours and staying as long as you like - 15 minutes or all day. I am usually at the garden on Sunday. If you don't have time to work in the garden, a great way to particate is to contribute seed money - not to start the garden but to buy seeds and plants. If you want to make a contribution to the garden fund, just speak with Lisa at the Temple and let her know you want to make a donation to the garden. It doesn't have to be much either. One package of seeds can go a long way and the cost is only a few dollars. Since all the labor in the garden is done by volunteers, all your donations will go directly to producing organic produce for the homeless shelter and other worth while organizations. Some of the produce may also be donated to the Temple for oneg and Shabbat dinners. Anyone interested may want to cultivate their own plot to produce organic veggies for their families. If you do, give me or Wendy a call. The Temple Garden is a community garden. Remember - it takes a village to grow a garden.
