For anyone interested, the landfill has free compost and mulch. When you go through the first gate, take the first right. The compost and mulch is on the right about 50- 75 feet from where you turn. You will see the sign. The compost appears to be made from composted yard waste. I am using it the build up the soil in the Temple Garden. If you want to see what it's like before you go out out to the landfill, you can check it out in the garden. The landfill is located on Apalachee Parkway 4-5 miles past Capital Circle on the right. Look for the sign, it is easy to miss the entrance. A hay fork is the best and quickest way to load either the compost or mulch. There is a hay fork in the shed at the Temple Garden. If you borrow it, be sure to bring it back.
